Anyone using up their PTO for their leave? I have a predicament. I work out of state and because all public transportation is suspended I cannot get to work. Spoke with the HR and she said that because of what is going on I can use my all my PTO/Sick and Vacation hours once PTO runs out. Combined, it is almost 4 weeks. If I use Uber or Lyft it will be like $300 per week of expenses. I cannot drive. I only have a permit so far. Stupid of me to not take that darn driving test. I have someone who can pick me up, but that is only a 1x thing. Do you think it is worth to use all my hours and hope that the public transportation will be back to normal?

What's your occupation? I wanted to go remote 4 years ago so I can work from a laptop. Most jobs nowadays have moved to a remote basis during the pandemic. If you have no other option I would just use all the PTO days. Your health is your #1 concern.

I take it you're clinical? I work in healthcare IT. That's rough, a lot of my facilities are flexing hours of hospital staff.
