You can't announce an amnesty for the simple reason that the system doesn't really such a button built in. The only way things can move forward is via congress passing a bill, and the simplest form would be amending either 245(i) sunset date or INA 249 sunset date, which could be done in a single sentence using a stealth provision...

From what I've seen:
$1200 checks are supposed to start going out somewhere in middle of April in order of your income.
Extra $600/wk to unemployment is a bit dead in the water since it's up to the states to find the money now and the feds will pay them back, which is a massive problem when the states can't just print their own money.

Could they really seize our assets?
