If only the pandemic ended already to use advance parole, imagine not being let back in because you were in a high risk area..... :'((((

Yes, that is the biggest risk right now. AP is quite possibly the safest thing. I've been out on AP twice from New York's JFK and both times the process was smooth as hell.

COVID-19 is the biggest risk right now. What if you go out and then that country imposes travel restrictions? That's a nightmare scenario. The U.S. embassy won't do shit to get you back since you're not a U.S. citizen.
