The nature of the Senate gives a big advantage to the Republicans right now because every state gets two Senators regardless its population and there are a lot of Republican states with relatively small populations.

Still, this is an improvement. Before this pandemic and everything else that has happened, the Republicans were forecast to keep the Senate. Now, it is likely that the Democrats will take control of the whole Congress and presidency as of now.
The democrats should allow Puerto Rico and DC to become states. Four more Dem senators there. The electoral college gives the GOP too much of advantage. Time to change that too.

PR honestly is a bit weird for US politics and aligns more with republicans than with democrats.

Well... That is one idea floating around among Democrats because that would essentially get rid of the unfair Republican advantage in the Electoral College and Senate (compared to the popular vote distribution between the two parties). However, I do not see anything happening regarding that issue anytime soon. Republicans will never willingly surrender their advantage. If both of them gain statehood, it will be a lot more difficult for them to win presidency and/or Congress (especially if you consider how some big R states like Texas are turning more blue each election).

Amen.

Dems had a supermajority in House and Senate during Obama for two whole years.

The leadership didnt think of us as worthy of losing the House majority, which they lost anyway and also lost their 60/100 majority.

Dems are always talk during election.

Biden cant even remember half the time where he is.

All talk, no action.

Dems will lose in November. Dem voters will most likely sit out the election over fears over COVID-19, and GOP voters will come out in droves to make sure Trump stays in office.

Get me my popcorn! Its gonna be very bumpy and fun ride :P

Umm the Electoral College and 2 Senators per State is in the US Constitution.

Unless you got 3/4 votes in Congress plus 3/4 of 50 legislatures, it's never gonna change.

The US system is a constitutional republic. When people want to advocate for "popular vote" elections for President, they are ignoring the fact that it is the United States, not Majority Tyranny of America.

Look at Venezuela. They elected leftists in office and within 2 decades, they descended into one party rule: socialist takeover started by Chavez.

Now people are starving in what once was a prosperous nation.

Get your left wing talking points outta here!

US Constitution is the best legal document in human history.

Thank God we have the Senate and the Electoral College; it protects the minority from ever having to be voted out of existence by capricious, temporary majoritarian mobs.

Read the Federalist Papers. Might make a snowflake cry :P
