What was the point of the Supreme Court ruling if they’re going to ignore it anyways?

Directly and openly defying the SC is like defying the will of the constitution. If any politician did this before 2017, they would be impeached, and that call to impeach would be led by conservatives. It's crazy how much a party can change in 3 years.
Please. There would be a MUCH larger backlash if today's action was to fully rescind and not just an action to reduce benefits and review the possibility of rescinding.

Also, he is technically not defying SCOTUS to my understanding. They said that he needs to provide proper justification and follow the appropriate legal means to rescind the program.... They did not rule the program to be constitutional, which a lot of people do not understand nor did they mention anything about his ability to limit benefits. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

What was the scenario where DACA could be codified in law requiring an actual law to rescind in the future?

Bill Barr said they were going to restart DACA while testifying, this was right before the memo was release I believe. So either he was lying or didnt know.

While I do agree there would be a larger response if he fully rescinded the program, he's not getting more voters on his side. The difference here is he's going for a lose the minimum amount of republican voters instead of gaining voters. If that's the strategy you're admitting defeat. Which army would you join? An army with a leader that's trying to prevent people from leaving their army or an army with a leader that's successful in recruiting?

The administration is not following the supreme court ruling, at all, on purpose. You can see how messed up things are because the conservatives pre-2017 would've called for impeachment by now. The constitution is the core of conservatism, literally the most important thing to them, which is why Republicans fight for the Supreme Court so hard. How many "conservatives" now do you see now calling for action?

Anyone know for sure if the renewal fees are staying the same?

They’re the same - $765. Except now it’s once per year (realistically every 10 months).
