I have been right on many occasions. The biggest thing I had said is that DACA will not ended on "Day 1."

Despite it's name VAWA is gender neutral, doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman, cis or trans, gay or straight. Purely emotional abuse works as long as it's a pattern of behavior. You would definitely need a psychological evaluation. I'm doing mine without one but there was a bit more abuse to my case (lets say that it does tick boxes for physical, sexual, financial, emotional, and social). USCIS did RFE me but they RFE'd me solely for cohabitation and bona fide marriage, they took my grisly personal statement at face value. I honestly felt sick after writing that thing.

The benefit of VAWA is that you can file for AOS as long as you do not have a re-entry bar against you and you didn't enter as a K-1/2. Things like EWI or entry on C-1/D visa do not disqualify you. You can concurrently file I-360 and I-485.
