Veronica 22/f/Cali , this is my story.

I was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico. I came to the United States on my 5th Birthday. I have been here ever since. I have attended my whole school years, K-12th , and some college. I currently have a Lawyer, Enrique Arevallo, who is working on my case.
I’m proud to be Mexican, but all I know is America, American culture and chasing the American Dream. My dad recently obtained his citizenship and he’s achieving the American Dream, he has a stable job, owns a house, and more than one truck. He has cared for and raised all eight of his kids here, only 5 of the 8 kids were born in Mexico.
I felt discouraged at an early age to do well in high school because my older brother David had to turn down a full scholarship for college because of his status. I felt like why even try even you cant even go to college. Well I’ve learned a lot and you can still go to college, but it’s so expensive because we can’t get financial aide. That is why I stopped going to school, I am saving up money so that I can go back to school and get my Psychology Degree. I think it’s so unfair because I feel like I’m an American and this is my home, but I don’t have the same benefits an American born citizen has. I can’t even get an ID, License, or a job. I’m still working even though it is illegal, but it is because I have a two year old son to take care of. I got married early this year and in my benefit he is an American Citizen so that can help my case, but I would rather obtain it by myself, and The Dream Act would do that for me. If this passes, my every dream and every wish will come true. I will take it and run with it. Sky is the limit! I will go back to school and earn my degree, get a better job for myself and for my family, get my own place to live, save up and buy myself a house, run my own business and provide for my son. I don’t see why so many people are against this act if it will bring so much happiness to so many people and it will help the economy with all of us working and paying taxes. I just hope and pray for the best outcome. Good Luck everyone!

No unfortunately I just walked straight across with my Father n Uncle and my 2 sisters, which is and was illegal. But we've gotten like a "forgiveness" thing with my lawyer.

are you serious? Do tell, I'm on the same boat........so with the forgiveness you would not have to leave the country, or do you still have to leave but the 10 year ban is lifted?
