This is a big deal. Maybe it won't affect most of us yet, but sooner or later we're (or family members) are going to adjust our status and this would have been a huge kick in the ass.

I filled out the I-944 when it was required (still waiting on the results) and it was onerous. It asked for stuff like your US credit score - whether or not you had one! Thankfully I had a job and had a good score, but imagine being a 10 year old applying for status and then having to contact credit bureaus to get a no-score report.....

Definitely good news but they also need to figure out a way to keep the moochers out. I see it often in my community, people driving new cars and living a big ass houses but show are poor on paper and get government benefits.

Have an undocumented cousin that owns 4 salons and takes government assistance - foodstamps and Medicaid each month. Gets shit load of cash money during tax season due to 2 young USC kids. Here I am - paying a teacher's salary in taxes each year. SMDH. I would love for someone like my cousin to be excluded from the permanent residency eligibility due to lying and abusing the system.

lol paino, I actually understand 2face a lot more these couple months. The guy is pragmatic and willing to compromise to get a solution. Regardless of political ideology, I can respect that.
