Yeah. It’s amazing that democrats don’t push popular legislation because they want to appease the Republicans that won’t vote for it anyway. The dream act is popular, the $15 minimum wage is popular and the stimulus checks are popular. Why let the Republicans prevent you from delivering popular legislation?

The fillibuster should be eliminated. If Republicans want to pass their unpopular legislation like 20 week abortion ban, then pass it and let them pay for it at the ballot box.

Maybe because they like to preserve those issues....for future rallying? Fortunately...I think this issue has been pushed down as far as possible and time is now to get Dream Act passed.

Agree 100%. People worked their assess off to get at least a 50/50 senate. All for nothing.

We have seen enough of Republican bullshit the last 10 or so years. Fuck the Republicans. Let's make some progress. Oh, wait... that would require Dems to grow a backbone and some balls.

As always. Same old. Same old.

Graham on Thursday added that he wouldn’t support passing the forthcoming bill as a stand-alone, if they can’t get a larger deal, and doesn't think 10 Republicans would give it the support needed for it to overcome a filibuster.
So, he will not support the DREAM Act if the negotiation fails and the Democrats try to pass the DREAM Act alone.

@MHackman
Here we go again: Durbin tells hill pool he and Graham are working on a possible Dreamers deal. "we will have the base bill reintroduced," he said. "And then that'll be our starting point to build support, as well as consider any additions to it. It is tricky territory."
