Yeah it's odd to come on a dreamer forum after getting his and trying to take hope away. It's like beating cancer and then going to a cancer ward and telling families "Nah, they won't make it".

Late 40's Dreamer (Holy Fucking shit I'm almost 50 and still dealing with this), aged out of original DACA and didn't have a chance to apply for extended DACA after Republicans killed it on the vine.

I mean a lot of us have been here for 10+ years so it's hard to not get cynical if it's just failure after failure when it comes to DA or CIR passing.

Like if it passes, great, but everyone should be working on their own legalization pathway in the meantime. If you go down I-601A pathway and DA passes, great you can abandon the I-601A and adjust, if it fails you still have the I-601A to fall back onto.

Well for me, I'll probably end up adjusting my status with my family sponsorship after I go through the system with this law WHEN it passes! I'm giving it a chance to see where it goes first before going my own way...It definitely feels safer to go forward in the current climate but it's still risky so this law would make life soooooo much easier.

I do understand being cynical but there is cynical and there is just being a negative asshole.
