Surprised how quiet this forum is when we are so close

So close but yet so far. If the Parliamentarian rules against us then who knows what happens. However if she rules in our favor then there not many obstacles in our way. Manchin has came out in support of voting yes as long as its approved and Sinema is not willing to stand alone in opposition. While I do think we have a strong case for being added to Reconciliation since Immigration is directly tied to federal revenues (No People/No Money, More People/More Money) it all depends on what Elizabeth has to say

How are we close? There are still so many hurdles. No idea if the immigration is even going to make it into the final bill or whether they'll even allow that. Being close is it being approved in the House and only vote needed in the Senate. That's close.

Do not expect anything from this Congress. Anything you get is just going to be a bonus and hopefully you will get it this time around but don't depend on it.

They just want their vacation. Pass the easiest thing, go on vacation, make up excuses later.

There is 0 news and they are going on vacation on Sunday. We won't know the answer from parliamentarian until September. Nothing to discuss really here.

How many times have we been “so close”? We’re not going to waste anymore energy on the same BS with the same outcome.

Yep. I know this cautiously optimistic to disappointment tune quite well, unfortunately. I'm hoping for the best but we won't have an idea of what will happen next until she makes her decision.
