This is political theatre. At the end of the day the party needs to get Biden some legislative wins they can campaign on in 2022. This is a way for them to appear like they will buck their party and appeal to independent and republican voters. I think Manchin has it the worst being form a Trump state, but he’s an outlier as he is always voted back in. He has to keep playing that role and Sinema is drawing from his playbook.

I mean they aren't wrong $3.5 T is A LOT! As a someone who pays a teacher's salary in taxes, this is concerning
