i am in a bit of a headache....

so earlier USPS said they lost my application so i sent another one via UPS. The UPS one is received and now after a month, USPS also delivered my mail... what is going to happen??? am i getting charged twice? what should i do ??

Void the second payment - cancel the check, put a hold on the transaction if credit card was used. If you used a money order, not sure how viable it is to cancel it immediately.

When you cancel it, report it as "duplicate" to your bank.

You could also call USCIS and report the duplicate application. Ask if the certified delivery is already in process (aka, receipt on its way to you which means they accepted the application) or the one delivered by USPS. I would assume the certified delivery would be checked first for completeness.

small headache, don't lose sleep over $495. You will get it back, just send a secure message to UCIS

i am voiding the second check and sent a message to USCIS....i just want my application to be processed w/o issue....

this is frustrating....that freaking uscis phone number is just for show. the system keeps on looping you and you never can speak to a real person

I think I saw someone somewhere say to just say and repeat "Technical difficulties" and it'll connect you to a person eventually.
