How is that possible??
Lol,I am wondering the same thing, unless the person's case was denied & the beneficiary was appealing all of this time.

my sister has been with her boyfriend for a few months now and they intended on getting married. yesterday though, she had complications and even though she really didn't wanna get married until she graduated college, it looks like she might have to or else not graduate college.

so i'm wondering (on her behalf) what the process is. the first problem she encountered was that apparently you need an ID to get married. how do people get around this (are expired passports OK?) and what other steps are involved?

btw, she came in to the country legally so she doesn't have to worry about 245i.
I can't say I know the process on how to get a marriage license, but I can inform on the adjudication process as well as the necessary documentation. If she follows most of the steps she should be fine if the marriage is real.

Since she came in legally, the most important original document to have is the I-94 card came she came in on.During the adjustment interview the Adjudication officer WILL ask for it.
