It's hard to take posters like you seriously. What harm does this do to you if it gets passed? are you just mad that other people will finally get relief? The entitlement from people who can't even vote or offer anything back in return for what they are given is insane. The posters who keep saying there are right wing agitators in here masquerading as dreamers makes so much sense. I use to think some were genuinely upset about not getting enough but its really obvious sometimes to see that some of y'all are just pushing defeatism and really don't want most to get anything at all but mask it by pretending y'all are upset we are not getting green cards on the spot.

The harm is that if it gets passed we continue to live like second class trash in fear for another 10 years. If this passes they won’t lift a finger to help anyone in the future. While I know DACA for all would benefit millions, I do think minors brought into this country without a say should get preference over others. I did not ask to be in this position. Other people actually made the choice as an adult to come knowing the consequences or at least willing to take their chances. I’m locked out of the only job I want because I don’t have a green card or citizenship. It didn’t matter how much education I got or how hard I worked I’m still locked out of the only job I ever wanted. I don’t feel guilty for hoping this fails. It’s the Democrats fault that they don’t do what it takes to give everyone a good deal. Not ours. We should not be put in a position again where we have to sacrifice our futures for those of adults that made the decision to come illegally as fully mature adults.

Keep in mind that if this parole passes it will benefit aged out dreamers for whom all that you just said is true as well except they were not able to benefit from DACA all these years. Why would you want it not to pass and have the age outs continue in their shitty situation which is much worse than what the DACA “kids” face ?

You don’t get it. It should not be a choice between 1) I continue to be screwed so you get to be less screwed than before but still screwed and 2) I am not screwed any more but you still are. By choosing their cowardice (their choice to not override the parliamentarian) over the right thing, they are turning a win for all situation into oh now u have to accept to stay screwed so others can achieve the same shitty situation as you or you are labeled a bad person. Fuck that!

Imagine if they implemented a green card for DACA only solution but added a 30yr age limit. So anyone with DACA older than 30 yrs right now does not qualify. There would be so much crying on this board from the proponents of a DACA only solution that missed the cut off. I don’t get how people can be actively cheering for this to fail when (even though it is a shitty. solution) it would help a whole lot of people.

Sure I agree. This is a shitty solution and Dems are cowards but this is the only thing on the table right now. Since this is the only thing on the table I hope it gets through.
