Hi, did anyone took a mortgage from Chase to buy a house? Did the bank really care about your daca status? What is the process like from obtaining a mortgage from Chase and house closure? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 😊

I have from wells Fargo. Honestly i just showed them my EAD. They really did not care. I hope it is the same case with Chase as well. Good luck with it.

Does it matter when does your EAD expires? Im up for renewal and my EAD expires in 5.5months. Also did you tell them you are on DACA or you just mentioned you want to obtain a mortgage? Did they ask any citizenship or passport?

When i did mine i still had 5 to 6 months left to expire. Since you have more than 5 months left you should be ok. They did ask if i am citizen or green card holder. I told them i have work authorization and it renews and i can work for any employer apart from federal agencies.

Did the same through Wells. No problems at all. The process was the same as everyone else's. They didn't question how much time was left or anything.

I tried to go through Chase. They specifically told me they did not support mortgage applications for DACA status.

Did they ask for citizenship status? Can we just say we have working permit renewable indefinitely without mentioning DACA? Otherwise im gonna transfer all my money and open an account through Wells Fargo

Hmmm interesting, I don’t deal with Wells Fargo specially because they denied me for a credit card.

You really do not need to have account with Wells Fargo in order to get Loan.

I do not have account with wells Fargo yet they approved my loan.
