This is bargain. I love that is bars people from using government assistance. That has been GOP's biggest compliant and this solves that!

This proposed law is an absolute dumpster fire.

You can read the whole thing (all 480 pages) here:

https://files.constantcontact.com/18...cefbf0e38f.pdf

Read "SEC. 7101. SARAH AND GRANT’S LAW."

People suspected of being in the country illegally can be held indefinitely.

Read "SEC. 7102. PENALTIES FOR ILLEGAL ENTRY OR PRESENCE."

Any illegal presence in the country is a 2 year prison sentence. This includes overstaying a visa or a border crossing.

Mandatory E-verify is also a no-go...

Never trust immigration reform from a Republican.

Way too forgiving!! At least 200k per year. If you can’t afford then you have no place here

She first proposed this bill when Biden first took office.

The ban on entitlement programs will have little impact on us. The GOP likes to bend the truth in that regard. We do not get entitlements right now but if we have a US citizenship child, we can get entitlements for that citizen. It's not us, it's the child that gets the benefits.

As for the 1000 fee a year, it's not outrageous. Is 10K for 10 years of safety and certainty a bad deal? Not in my opinion.

Despite what I said above, this has no chance in a GOP or democrat controlled house... This is too strict for liberals and too liberal for the rightwing. Rep. Maria wants to get the Florida Latino vote without losing the Cuban vote, so she made this symbolic bill.
