After 10 years of DACA and 6 years of this whole process including the 601-A, my husband’s IR1 visa was finally issued. He had his interview in El Salvador. Now the nerve wracking part is going through CBP to come home. Anyone have any advice or have an insight on what questions they ask? We don’t have direct flights to/from El Salvador where we live. What is the best airport to travel to as a visa holder? I know the lines are usually long at JFK.

If you can, avoid southern states and red states. Technically any airport should work but it’s more likely you’ll come across and Trump supporter in those airports.

He ended up going through Atlanta because it was convenient and cheaper..They only asked him 2 questions. How long we’ve been married and our address. They didn’t even bother to ask for the waiver or his medical report with the vaccines.
