Pick a career that you enjoy rather than worry about the salary because if you suck at it the companies paying 100K+ wont hire you. That said, any career in tech in CA will get you at a minimum 70K+ a year as an entry. Mid-level (1-2 years of exp.) will get you into 100K+ and if you work for a good private expect to get at least 50K bonus in RSUs

Hitting $100K nowadays isn't hard like it used to be given the crazy inflation. Most engineers I know make above that after 5 years.
