Got approved for AP but will be going to a different country than what I applied for because of safety issues. Will travel in about 2 week. Will keep y’all updated. If you’ve heard of any negative consequences from doing that let me know. Will be doing it regardless.

I would really consult with someone knowledgeable or an attorney about this before you make any decisions...I don't think the AP document itself spells out what country you're allowed to go. But as part of the AP application, you are on record seeking permission to go to certain country and for reason (from what I recall but please double check...)....

spoke with lawyer and USCIS...They don't care..CBP's job isn't to see what you put on a USCIS application. They're job is to just make sure you have a document that allows you back in the US. From talking to the USCIS agent, it doesnt seem like the two agencies do a good job talking to each other. If they did, you wouldn't have to go to secondary where they have to run your AP document.

Hey guys I just came thru the port on AP today and they found my AP application that I sent to an agency disconnected from them (USCIS) and now CBP is sending me back to my home country. I’m currently sitting in a sterile room right now while they yell at me to sign a document. They keep asking me who let the dogs out. I screwed up big times guys thinking CBP wouldn’t just look at the document and not go on a fishing expedition. Now I’m going back to my country I haven’t seen in ages!!! Oh also they’re putting me on first class so that’s good. See y’all in 10 years!!
