@ThePlumLineGS
New info on the talks over the framework giving citizenship to 2 million dreamers:

The proposal could include $25 billion to $40 billion in border security and asylum reforms, per sources.

Romney and non-MAGA Republicans should be able to support this:

@ckuck
DREAM Act will NOT be in the NDAA. #DACA beneficiaries now rely exclusively on #SCOTUS for continuing relief.
No one should be surprised, because until the day you have 10 Republicans to support the DREAM Act publicly (or any other immigration bill), it will not pass Congress.

He’s an immigration lawyer but he doesn’t work in congress so I think he’s just speculating. Tillis had said he didn’t want the border deal attached to any other vehicle anyway, so we shall see tomorrow how the senators feel with the actual text of the bill.

i believe he is saying the bill will not be attached to the spending bill so it will be on its own and need 10 republicans to get on board. But according to tillis they have 10 republicans.

In my view, the biggest obstacles to this will be the far lefty radical organizations who will be against the massive border security provisions. They don’t want any of these things happening. They want continued chaos and fear so their donations continue. They will be working overtime right now to lobby top Dems to not support this. Let’s hope they don’t succeed.

Again..what a framework by the incredible duo Sinema and Tillis.
