We saw this coming, lets's see if they do some cop-out deal that they can attach to a bill instead

The funny thing is that if you look at the news, twitter, Dems are always attacking Reps for bigotry against gay people and women's right to choose, and their stance against marijuana decriminalization, YET, they just passed bills to protect gay marriage and interracial marriage with plenty of Republican votes.

The votes for DREAM Act are there - Dems need to include it in a spending bill or put it to vote. People with 30-40 years in this country are not going anywhere.
The LGBT community is a voting block with a lot of power. They tend to vote as a group. Illegal immigrants cannot vote, hence they have little incentive to help us.

And to add onto this, it's really the incompetent politicians from both sides that are making our lives difficult and a pawn. Please take comfort in knowing vast majority of americans- something like 80% - support us and want us to stay.

Looks like we'll need to wait a little while longer. We WILL get out turn! The pendulum in politics has swung too far...it has to swing back to common sense. It just has to.

Most of us here are already over 30 years old. We just have to accept that marriage path is the only way to go.

Well this was a run ride. I’m glad I wasn’t following every step of this. wake me up the next time there’s talks of this

But I’ll never forget September 2017 when trump announced him and the democrats had agree on a deal. Border wall for dream act only for the orange man to say the next day the deal was off

I remember reading he said he messed it up by asking for too much

I’ve said this for years, we will never get anything legislatively beyond what DACA has offered. The best we are going to get is some Bridge Act kind of legislation when it appears the Supreme Court will kill DACA. It will be an easy sell, it will be in 2024 presidential election year, hard to call it amnesty because no citizenship is included…
