You can thank our friends from UWD working hard all last week to ensure that they get "immediate citizenship" passed by the end of the year. "Codifying DACA" wouldn't accomplish that....

Let's see what the White House and Democrats' answer to the border crisis and upcoming title42 termination will be. There is so much press about Title 42, something's gotta give.

There is truly a deal to be had here when the right people come together like President Biden. I am dumbfounded why the WH does not capitalize on this issue and formally announce some kind of immigration reform and dare the Republicans to vote no for title 42 extension.

If the administration eventually capitulates and extends title42 without getting anything in return like DACA pathway, then we can be certain they are absolute fakers.

To add, the appeals court ruling to still force the end to Title 42 on December 21st holds the politicians' feet to the fire and could allow for an environment for some immigration legislative action.

It's just my guess but the Dems are listening to the Immigration Advocates and not to the immigrants. Advocates are pushing for open borders and citizenship for all, which will suit the needs of all illegal immigrants but has 0 chance of going anywhere. I also think a lot of money is being invested by these groups.

We need real solutions not symbolic bills.

I agree with you but the crazies in the House will pressure McCarthy to not allow any immigration legislation to pass that includes DACA and it will be enforcement + title 42 extension only which won't pass the senate so which means another 2 years of inaction.. Republicans can always use this issue to make Democrats look week on border control.. Most people who vote for them just believe anything they and Fox news says
