Folks....after 23 years up in this muthafucka, I've become a permanent resident. Been dreaming of this day since day one.

Long story short, got married in July 2022. Applied for AOS March 7th 2023, and i just checked my account today April 26th and my I-485 just got approved.

Thank you all for being there to support one another during all these years.

Congratulations! I’m applying to AOS soon. I can’t imagine how you’re feeling but it’s definitely to celebrate all the good and bad days that brought you to this point.

Awesome! That is so fast! Did they ask for an interview? What do you suggest for people who are filing?

No interview, right now is a good time to do AOS because a lot of people are getting their interviews waived.
Send as much evidence of bona fide marriage as you can.
If you're able to, send your Medicals with the initial application to avoid delays.
Also, if you've been working legally for about 10 years you probably qualify for a sponsor waiver which is what i did, form I-864W.

Such great news! congratulations!!
It took me 21 years.
By the way is your spouse a US citizen or permanent resident? and in what state do you live? My husband's case has been in the Atlanta field office for a while.
