It’s a bad bill. Not because it’s giving billions to the terrorist nazi state that’s Israel but because it’s not enough on immigration..?

I think Dems want major immigration changes and are trying to duck smoke... They see this as an opportunity to clamp down on the border and while also blaming the GOP for the changes ... you know to keep the donations and contributions from immigrants coming in during an election year...

It's theater to pretend that their hands are tied, but it truly makes no sense for them to say 'we won't vote for this option' while NOT saying 'but we DO want this (registry, essential workers' bill, path to citizenship, etc) included'. Does that make sense? Not one of them, not the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, not the Progressive Caucus, not the White House, not Durbin (CHAIR of the judiciary and immigration subcommittee), not the 'imm rights' orgs are demanding to include solutions for the population at large. I canceled my ACLU donation yesterday after 16 years. I called my senators who campaign on family issues all the time to tell them that it is unacceptable to not request actual solutions be part of this package. And if more people do this, you will see impact. There are millions of American citizen children and spouses with an undocumented parent or undocumented families and they, too, deserve to have family unity.

Plus it is a bad bill to give billions to weapons manufacturers at the expense of American taxpayers and lives in the Middle East.

Yup. I truly believe no one's even though of this being a time to extract concessions. Ukraine money for immigration reforms, Taiwan money for enforcement, Israeli money, what Israeli money?
