I think Biden had a low chance of winning vs Trump based on recent events (bad debate and what happened to Trump at a rally). Biden was all in before those 2 events.

The switch up was necessary and the easiest path was Harris as she can spend the money. The important thing will be her VP pick. I think switching out Biden gave dems a better chance to beat Trump.

Let's be honest, the dems will vote dem and republicans will vote republican. Even if republicans decide to switch to a new person right now they'll vote republican, same with dems.

It's the battleground states that matter the most, MI, PA, AZ, etc. If anything Harris comes off as a moderate because she's was a prosecutor.

White Women for Kamala live Zoom meeting surpasses over 150K participants and raises over $1.5 million.

Meanwhile Orange Man making excuses and refuses to confirm debate schedule until after DNC. Harris voiced willingness to debate him earlier today.

MAGAs caught up in their VP choice fucking a couch, old man Trump saying wind kills birds when talking about renewable energy, and Stephen Miller bitching about Biden dropping out. MAGA is done.

There is a lot of hope and enthusiasm for VP Harris across the country.

Overall our situation will not change much if Harris is elected... We still are facing the Supreme Court and a Congress that will not take action. Harris will most likely not have the House and Senate if elected.

If Trump gets elected the Republicans will be forced to bring an immigration bill for a vote; we might see a bill with those 4 pillars again like we saw last time or something like what the House pushed earlier, enforcement only. If he is not elected the GOP will not move on immigration, it is too valuable a tool to let go of.

That's where you are wrong. Do you know remember the government shut down in at the end of 2018 for over 4 weeks? All federal employees, USCs were unable to work and get paid. The politicians in congress didn't give a shit. Republicans are looking to cut benefits for veterans. I could go on...
Politicians are not going to come to our rescue if DACA is killed. They don't even care about US Citizens let alone the what?, 800K or so of us that have DACA.
Get your head out of your ass. Work on your Plan B and find your own solution. At least if Harris is elected, you won't be placed in a camp for processing and then shipped back to your country of origin.

I agree with you that everyone should be working on a plan B no matter who wins and free ourselves from this limbo... but when I grew up in the USA, there was always a fear of deportations under all Presidents (Democrat + Republican).

I saw an interview on what the plan is and Trump said his plan is for "local police/authorities" to handle these supposed deportations that are coming. I highly doubt that means any of us will get deported unless you are out there committing crimes. Has there been mass deportations in Florida other than fear mongering about it? Again... I point to the fact that in my child hood this was always a fear we had in the communities.

We can't live our lives in fear, we will be fine, we always have been because we were good people and not drawing attention to ourselves. The only people that should be fearful under a Trump administration are the immigrants that are committing crimes and any new illegal border crossers (because certainly they won't be allowed in).

I never said Trump will save us, only that he will force an immigration bill. I also guess you did not read the part of my statement where I said that I am not sure what it will contain, it could be similar to previous GOP bills or be enforcement only. It is a central part of his campaign so you can bet the GOP will be bringing up immigration reform.

You are being overly dramatic about the camps and shit..

I agree. Mass deportation is easy to say on TV but hard to implement in real life... It would cost billions and we drag it on for years in the courts..

I think it is too soon for polls to mean anything - good or bad for Harris.

Force an Immigration bill? That won't get passed! Congress doesn't give a shit. Nothing good will happen for us.
The only reform that will be brought up is the GOP sending our asses home. They've been working on immigration reform for decades. Nothing I'd going to change.

I'm being overly dramatic? Well, I'm sorry for not wanting to downplay the man that put people like Stephen Miller and Jeff Sessions into power in this country. Or did you forget about that? I say your are not taking it seriously enough. The orange man and his goons are lunatics and you have no reason to downplay their intentions... especially when there is a documented manifesto of what they would love to do. Maybe you are looking a different Immigration plan Trump has that none of us has seen?

All Dreamers and immigrants need to tell all of their USC friends and family to register to vote and vote for the party that doesn't want to eviscerate us and have the crows eat our guts while we watch. I'm not sorry for being overly dramatic. Fuck MAGA.

Yeah no way Republican going out of their way to save us. We would be stuck in limbo again.
