Expire 3/24
Applied online on 12/1
Approved on 12/8
Card Being Produced on 12/8

It usually takes 2-3 months for me to be approved in the past. If I would’ve known it would only take 7 days I would’ve submitted later & not lose 3 months…

Current daca already expired. Fortunately, my work doesn’t care about it so at least don’t have to worry about that part.
Wow, you are for sure lucky on the job part. The compliance department has been on me since July this year.

I used to think this way when I got all my renewals at the same speed you got that one. But now I've lost too many paychecks that the money I would have saved by not getting an overlap and timing it perfectly doesn't make sense anymore.

We pay about $20.62 a month

I'd rather overpay $60 than lose a single paycheck be out of work and possibly get terminated and have to get rehired again.

I'd rather they deduct $20 a month from our paychecks and not have to deal with renewals. Call it the DACA tax

Probably 4th or 5th time renewing. Applied online for the first time and got same day update on uscis account they would re-use biometrics and case is being reviewed. Within one week card is being produced. I had 3 months to spare. My previous renewal was also approved in 7-10 days. Hope this helps other peoples timeline. I live in east coast region.

Today marked my 105th day. I was able to call and speak to a tier 1 agent and ask about my delayed approval. I was given an additional case ID and told I would get contacted within 30 days with an answer.

A few hours later I was finally approved.

I've waited until last minute (20 days prior to expiration date) to submit my renewal, since my last renewal only took a week to get approved. It's been a month since I submitted and online estimated time status says approx. 2 months.

Current step is "attend biometrics appointment (if necessary)" which I've never received a notice for so I'm guessing I don't need one.

Just to put it out there to let y'all know it may take longer than you'd think it would.

So don't be me, plan ahead.

How did you get through the call? I tried so many times but couldn’t get past the automated system that would just send me link to e-request. I tried doing e-request but that said “This form is not eligible for this tool and you have to call”
Anyways i just the message through online account inbox on 105th day (yesterday), and i was approved today.

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.

My brother’s expiration date was early February, he submitted his paperwork about 2 weeks ago and got approved for renewal the week after. I applied around the last few days in November and no activity on my case. I expire early March. Last renewal, back in 2022, took about a month and lost 2 months, while also having to pay for a EAD again since it got lost in the mail.

I got lucky and got married to my amazing wife, who is already counting down the days when we can finally apply for my GC. These waiting games are not it. Good luck to all who are in waiting limbo.

When you can and as soon as you can speak commands you have to say "InfoPass" which allows you to speak to someone.

Sounds like you had an almost identical case to mine. I mailed mine to the overnight address. Did you mail in your renewal request too?

it was definitely cutting it close, I was getting nervous when I havent heard anything at the start of December. I got it expedited by calling my Rep. and explained I have cancer and need my EAD to keep my health insurance. they took my case and their intern/aid kept calling USCIS for me. I wonder how long it wouldve taken if they didnt do that.

so lesson here: renew 6 months early, ask your representatives for support if really needed, and medical reasons are good way to get it expedited

Just renewed my DACA online. Hopefully I can sneak it in before inauguration.
