It might matter. His attempt to kill DACA failed in large part due to violating the APA. Supreme Court literally gave him a blueprint - go through the rulemaking process (post it for 30-90 days, take in comments, ignore said comments) and you're free to do it.

So you might be able to squeeze one last renewal since likely whatever lawsuit would at very least grandfather in whatever application that got sent in. Then you're fucked in 2 years.

It isn't against the laws of physics to build a wall, but that isn't the point either. The point is mass deportations have occurred frequently in history and in a very short time span vs earthworks so large and grand that the roman empire rose, peaked, and dissolved inside the entire time frame in which the "wall" was being built. Any walls built are where they're most needed and everywhere else is empty field that might, might not be monitored by drones and patrols.

Historical deportations were racial in nature. It was easy to distinguish outsiders.
