My gut feeling is that we are going to be okay. I’m not worried and we may just get a bill with a path of adjustment for us as a compromise since Republicans have control of Congress and presidency making it easier to get needed votes. The senate still has the filibuster option to prevent something extreme from being passed.

Trump wants to give GC to people who have a college degree. This aligns with Dream Act.

Vft1008, with all due respect brother. I respect your opinion.

The real cope is all of us living every 2 years at a time.

Trust me, bro. Nobody is "just fine" with DACA every 2 years.

DACA was gonna end, regardless of Harris or Trump winning the election,

Maybe this is what needs to happen so we can act. I have Plan Bs and Cs but i can never really go through with them because i was hanging on to DACA.

I wish you well, brother.

they will touch it when SCOTUS kills DACA next year.

Homman and Miller are sure to get restarted on the border and inland, but only thing i could see them doing inland is just bolstering ICE and picking up anybody with criminal records, we didnt got that many raids under Homman last time and doubt they do anything drastic given it could trigger the "muh constitution" "muh rights" people.

for anything drastic congress needs to overhaul the INA/reform the entire Immigration system. Homman himself keeps quoting the INA constantly.

I wish I knew what they are going to do. They are being super secretive about it, but does that mean they have concentration camps planned or are they really unsure of what they can even do?

Not to mention that his cabinet is already staffed with neo-cons and whatever right wing neo-nazi goons he managed to scrounge up. My gut feeling tells me nothing will happen beacause they'll be too busy deporting violent criminals who always have lawyers somehow, and then working on the asylum seekers who also have lawyers.

DACA will most certainly end. It is cooked. But we are not cooked.

We've already seen this. They were mostly ineffective because once they had to spend time with each other they released its just a crowd of assholes and nothing got done.

Trump

Wouldn't pay much heed to what he says. He talks out of his ass and says basically anything and everything. You never really know what he says or even means. This makes it so that people fill in the blank towards his actual intentions. It also makes them happy to excuse what he says because they never really know if he is serious or not.
