“The Trump Administration will not tie the hands of our brave law enforcement, and instead trusts them to use common sense,” the statement said.

The directive was one of two issued on Tuesday from Benjamine Huffman, the acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

The second directive reinstates with immediate effect so-called “expedited removal” nationwide. Under this authority, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) can quickly deport any undocumented person arrested inside the country who can’t prove they have been here continuously for more than two years.

At this point, anything is possible. While I am trying to remain optimistic for our sake, there have been cases where even citizens themselves have been deported.

The best course of action right now is to avoid trouble and refrain from driving or socializing with anyone who may be undocumented and has a criminal record.

Bro, citizens being deported or denaturalized is like super rare. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than that happening.

It does not mean it cant happen or is unheard of though. We cant say for sure Dreamers are going to be untouchable.

There is one case with a DACAer in 2017 but instances like that are always questionable. I think he crossed the border to Mexico and tried to get back in.
