Has anyone in this forum personally been detained by ICE or run-ins, or know someone personally that did?

long time friend had his father stopped with his brother in law on the highway by Border Patrol here in Florida. on their way home.

both had over 15 years living here, clean records and from Mexico.

they didnt sign anything and since they had nothing holding them on here they got deported in 2019 i believe that was.

A friend of mine got DUI charge in a red state and the local sherrif handed him to ICE right away.

Please keep sharing your stories, just wanna get a pulse if anyone on here has actually encountered ICE.

I had 2 friends, one of them was legal, the other undocumented. While driving they past by a checkpoint, they were stopped and they arrested both, my friend who was legal was let go, even though they tried to accuse her of human smuggling, my other friend was deported by ICE.

These are times where we have to be careful who we drive with, unfortunately situations like this can end up bad.

came to an CBP stop and they almost charged him with trafficking illegals.

Legal friend is Green card holder?

Do you think its possible they bring back actual in-person biometrics check in when we renew? I never had to do an actual biometrics in person under Biden only under Obama and Trump and do you think ICE can detain you when you do biometrics?

It is possible that they will resume in-person biometrics appointments in the future. The shift to virtual appointments was primarily a response to COVID-19, and it appears that the new administration is phasing out pandemic-related protocols.

Regarding the possibility of ICE detaining us during our appointments, while I prefer to remain hopeful, it is important to acknowledge that this could happen. This is not meant to instill fear, but considering their presence in schools, churches, and hospitals, it is not unreasonable to think they may also visit immigration offices.
