This must be the Democrats' fault!

Let's be honest, this should not be a partisan issue. The Democrats' use of dreamers for ACA was clearly a strategic move for their own benefit, and I will highlight the reasons for this:
  1. Democrats were aware of losing the Latino vote in 2024.
  2. They used the dreamers as a political pawn, knowing that this law would not be sustainable in the long run.
  3. They conveniently expanded this law during an election year, 10 years after the ACA was implemented.
(If they truly cared about us, why did they wait 10 years?)

The same thing occurred with DACA. In 2009, when Obama assumed office with control of the White House, Senate, and House, they rejected the Dream Act.

  1. Obama took office in 2009.
  2. Democrats had control of the White House, Senate, and House.
  3. Five Democrats voted against the Dream Act in December 2010, resulting in the act being killed.

In 2012:
  1. Democrats were losing support and lacking enthusiasm, making it difficult for Obama to win crucial swing voters.
  2. There was increasing pressure from immigrant advocacy groups and constituents for action on immigration reform.
  3. Harry Reid urged Obama to take decisive action on immigration issues, believing that executive action was necessary due to Congress's inability to pass comprehensive reform.
  4. President Barack Obama implemented DACA on June 15, 2012 during an election year.

It's quite convenient that this happens during an election year. This is a prime example of the Democrats losing the Latino vote due to their manipulative tactics. It is evident that they only act when it serves their own agenda, rather than truly making a lasting impact.

It is the same reason why I think it’s time to hold them accountable for their actions. It is even more upsetting that they try to silence us with small bandaids, fully aware that these bandaids can easily be taken off by a judge or the next president.

We are well aware of the tactics employed by the Republicans, as they are known for playing dirty. However, one thing we can appreciate is their honesty. I prefer straightforward communication, even if it's not what I want to hear, rather than being constantly told what I want to hear only to have the opposite occur.

And for the record, this discussion is not intended for us to engage in back-and-forth arguments. I understand that you have a strong support for the Democrats, and I respect that.

Personally, I used to have a similar admiration for the Democrats. I even encouraged friends and family to vote for them. However, over time, I began to see things differently.

This doesn't mean I am now supporting the other party. I am simply trying to remain neutral, or as some might say, independent.

Instead of spending so much time writing essays on this lonely forum, you should go work on your dating game and score yourself a USC BF/GF. Better use of your time.

They should completely eliminate the aca, medicaid, Medicare, social security, pell grant, subsidy, etc. No money for anyone. Time to get to work. Bootstraps time. Nothing short of big cuts will save us from 38T and nothing to show for it.

Small changes like these don't actually do much in terms of fiscal savings. So far they've just done trivial cuts.

Those of you that say Trump will fix daca? It doesn't look so accurate. I think their plan is just to stay out of the way and let the courts end it, that way it doesn't become a nuclear problem for Republicans come midterms.

I think this is mainly getting out of a litigation issue. We are just collateral.
