Your ideas are not without merit. I thought my psychosis was a botched enlightenment. As if I had opened my third eye too abruptly and my mind recoiled. That I was Jesus Christ but had failed my mission. I no longer think these things, but that's what I believed at the time. I do still feel like I am permanently messed up after that experience though. There's no turning back; you can't unseen those things.
