Well, you certainly will face additional scrutiny even after the ban expires. So, you are right in the sense that if you’re dirt poor you are not getting in - EVER! But if you are financially well off and have ties to where you came from you have a good chance of getting in since the probability of you over staying your visa (or visa waiver program) is low. I know people who came to the states for a visit after their ban expired.

Absolutely. Not saying I have that much in my couch cushions but I would live in a cardboard box and cash in every favor to make it happen.

Late 40's Dreamer (Holy Fucking shit I'm almost 50 and still dealing with this), aged out of original DACA and didn't have a chance to apply for extended DACA after Republicans killed it on the vine.

My "home" would probably arrest me immediately and suspect I'm a US spy because how else could I have been in the US for so long without a passport or status. If I'm lucky, I'll end up on the streets without access to any of my money.
