Was the deal not accepted because of concerns of DACA people still needed to live with parents at that time or they will no longer be allowed to sponsor their parents if the deal happened?

The deal was not accepted because Democrats did not want to cough up $20 billion for border security. Mind you, they just got $168 billion with the BBB bill they just passed.

Technically Dreamers could have already been legalized by now, but Democrats wanted to keep Dreamers in chains and they gave up the fight without getting anything in return.

THEY just passed? Please make it clear that not a single Dem voted for the BBB.

Again, only looking at the past and getting your panties in a twist!

Look at the NOW:
Republicans have Congress, Presidency, and SCOTUS. Where is the good faith Dream Act or similar right NOW? All they care about is White nationalism and getting as many people of color out of here.

If they wanted to help Dreamers, now is the time. Just over a year before midterms and Trump becomes a lame duck. Where's your outrage over the Rs that you think want to help Dreamers but aren't doing shit?

Can't wait to vote for Newsom in the next election!

I meant they as Republicans. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to realize they control Congress or follow-up with current events.

Imagine being me, not worrying what the government is doing or aren't doing. They can't even save veterans, who often literally bleed for our country, from living on the streets. And they are an infinitely more sympathetic group.

Get jacked and get stacked, my amigos.

Deal was accepted and Trump backed out and came back with the pillars to tank the deal.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Sunday spurned President Trump’s $20 billion request for a border wall, suggesting Democrats in the lower chamber would oppose that figure even if it ensured a deal to protect recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

“All of the money he wants for his wall? Oh, come on, come on, come on,” Pelosi said at a press briefing in the Capitol.

Democrats are willing to support a host of tougher security measures in a comprehensive immigration reform bill, like the 2013 proposal, that addresses the fate of the 11 million people in the country illegally. But they’re not open to all of those same enforcement provisions as part of a DACA fix, which deals with just a sliver of that population.

Yep, that is the truth.

It is amazing how many DACAs don't want to believe in what actually happened.

So many times I read on these forums that it was Trump/GOP that derailed that deal.

Dems never wanted for DACAs to take the center stage.

I truly hope Trump/GOP puts DACA back in the center stage and passes whatever legalization they can.
