No Dream Act legislation or similar will be passed before midterms and MAGA Dreamers will still stay It's the democrats' fault. Clowns.
You'd think Obama fucked their wives with how much he lives rent free in their heads. Calling Biden the 3rd Obama term. Guys Obama hasn't been in office for like 8 years.

There has been 1 article addressing Congress's timeline regarding immigration. To summarize

1. Not this year- too much other stuff to do
2. They will wait for Trump to say it is ok to negotiate. He won't do that until he can declare victory against the immigrants and brag about it.

If the house goes to the democrats next year, then we will have to wait until the next president for immigration to be brought up.

BUSTILLO: Right. Ultimately, any permanent solution has to come from Congress, but the coalition that cares about this issue is a little bit fractured right now. I spoke with several GOP senators and representatives that have all previously supported finding a pathway for DACA recipients. And Senate Democrats have been increasingly vocal about the urgency to find a solution because arrests are happening. Still, Republicans control both chambers of Congress, and there was the consensus that nothing would happen this year. There are simply other concerns at the top of lawmakers' minds, like keeping the government from shutting down, for example. And they also said that they were waiting for the president himself to say that it's time to broker a deal. There are a few efforts in the House and Senate, individual bills that would provide a pathway to legal status for DACA recipients. But there isn't a sense that they will move anytime soon, even as Trump's deportation efforts only grow.

Please! I know it's hard, but let's try to think critically...

Negotiate for what exactly (before midterms)!!? The passing of the Big Beautiful Bill (which not a single Dem voted for) already gave DHS and ICE OVER $190 BILLION for immigration, border, and enforcement activities (across DHS, ICE, CBP, etc.).

Swollen Don has already administratively gutted USCIS and has made it much more difficult to gain any kind of immigration benefit.

Whay exactly is Diaper Don going to want in these negotiations and trade away a DACA/Dream Act deal?

They are following the Project 2025 playbook. That does not include amnesty for any immigrant group!

If you were ignorant and under Dementia Don's spell last term, fine. But please get your head out of your ass and see reality! It's 2025. Get with the program.

You really gotta be a special type of obtuse to rock that signature while not having any smoke for republicans. They don’t even want you here, they make you think you’re part of the group so they can use you to advance their goals and yall happily trot along like sheep.

He's undocumented and a wannabe MAGA and ICE recruit. Not worth your effort.

I was commenting on the article and summarizing it for those unwilling to read, but it seems like you got too into your emotions and missed that part..

Why are you still on this forum since you got your green card already? Is it to attack people whose opinion is different from yours, or does it make you feel superior that the poor fools here still have no way to legalize? If all you have to contribute is anger and vitriol, please find a MAGA forum; at least there, your prejudice will fit right in.

The article does not address my question. What do Rs need and are willing to trade for AMNESTY? It's all lip service in that article.

Hell no. I'm a DACA for life and I'm fighting and will be fighting for Dreamers with my vote once I naturalize.

Yes he is too chicken to fight strong MAGAs but very happy to bully DACAs who disagree with him.

Notice how he puts down DACAs as “undocumented”.

DACA holders, not Dreamers (people who arrived as children), are a very small percentage of the undocumented population. The group as a whole has done 0 advocacy or hard-work efforts towards a legalization program. Y'all need to work towards a comprehensive program that includes Dreamers, essential workers, and those who have lived here for a long time. That is worth spending political capital.

This the legacy of both Obama and Biden's mediocre presidencies and some of the ridiculous grifter orgs in DC.
Bernie would have been 1000% better. Establishment Dems knew it and sabotaged him.

The Democratic Party needs to clean house or just die at this point. Both parties are beholden to special interests and billionaires, their true constituency. Regular folks don’t matter to them as long as they’re compliant.
