The only reason they care about the border is because of relentless fear mongering about terrorism in the early 2000s that terrorists were going to sneak across and ulta kill everyone in a 6000 mile radius.

Still, it was incredibly self defeating to have open borders like they did during the Biden administration. Essentially handing republicans an easy win. Yeah I know its hypocrisy to want it sealed after I got in. Sealing it up and removing all the high visibility criminals would've gone a long way to reducing the problem to a non issue and weakening republican strategies. Especially handing work permits to Venezuelans just because their nation failed. Get a better government loserZuelans.

Then there was no effort made towards halting inflation. And inflation in general is quite toxic. Its the slow drip poison on an economy not using real currency.

Somewhat ironically, democrats should be the anti immigrant party because they used to have a strong union base. Meaning Republicans would've been pro immigration because it keeps wages low for their rich donors. Looks like Republicans get their cake and eat it too. Because they keep importing people legally and they often go towards the cushy office jobs. This helps lower wages and make businesses more profitable. Not the low wage jobs. Trump personally reserved the illegal immigrant jobs as black jobs.

Sanders has never accomplished anything significant in his life except take critical wins away from Democrats and create the worst type of leftist voters who are mainly white and are the type that will withhold their vote or vote 3rd party rather than supporting another candidate FROM THEIR OWN PARTY.

Bernie Sanders has been a boon for Republicans. By promising free programs without clear, workable plans and having a limited record of passing legislation, he helped split the Democratic base.

He is nothing but a showman who says what people want to hear but hasn’t proven highly effective, and he voted against comprehensive immigration reform in the past, he’s not as friendly as people make him out to be.

He voted for gang of 8 bill.
