Chances biometrics is bait

Got my biometrics notice for my renewal, they reused them last time.
Given the current state of the country, anyone do their biometrics lately, should I be concerned and make plans in case?

Unlikely. USCIS has changed the rules, and now biometrics are only valid for 3 years. So if it has been more than 3 years, you are likely to be requested to come in person.

My renewal was received Nov 26th. USCIS gonna reuse my biometrics.

On Reddit, I have seen reports of people being taken into custody at biometrics offices, specifically in Houston.

They are taking people at green card interviews!

I also heard they are taking facial scans now along with the biometrics.

I am scared to do biometrics also and I know they will want one from me. They kept reusing mine. Dunno the last time I went to actually do it, definitely more than 3 years.

I heard if you have an order of removal, ICE will come to take you during biometrics same as they are doing at the airports. They need to meet their numbers set up by Stephen Miller.

How do you know if you have an order? Is that something that someone can look up? I know I'm paranoid, but I have a lot of family that depend on me.
