President Trump threatened in an interview this week to strip some naturalized immigrants of their citizenship, defended an ICE agent who killed a woman in Minneapolis and offered no regrets over officers’ aggressive tactics against immigrants, protesters and American citizens.

But the president at times sought to soften his harsh, anti-immigrant image, as he has done at times. When asked if he would support a plan that includes a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, Mr. Trump said “possibly, possibly.”

He said so-called Dreamers, who were brought to the United States as children, should feel “safe” in the country and that he would “love to be able to do something for them.”

“I’d love to have a comprehensive immigration policy. Something that really worked. It’s about time for the country,” Mr. Trump said.

Mr. Trump also said he would provide an update on his plans for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, in about a year.

“They should feel safe,” said Mr. Trump, who during his first term tried to wipe it out.

Incredible.

Dreamers are in their 30s, 40s, and next year many will be in their 50s and they think waiting is a good thins to fix the system because they have failed to govern realistically and upate immigration laws.

What an arrogant thing to say that politicians who are over 80 years old in poor health with reduced cogninitve abilities should wait longer to do the work that is needed now.

You have always asked what is his plan

When he reveals his plan, your reaction is this?

Wow ok.

You should really say thank you for once.

You're so pathetic. And a troll. You call that a "plan"? Braindead MAGA is braindead. No wonder people that know you IRL have thr urge to beat you up.

90 deals in 90 days.

Health care plan in 2 weeks.

This is a president that delivers.

In about a year, his administration expects the SC to end DACA, and when Miller feels he will have enough leverage to make Dems bow to his demands.

The positive aspect of this interview is that DACA does not appear to be a priority for the administration. Hopefully, no negative changes will occur, and we will remain out of their sights.

365,000 out of 12M people is not leverage. If Durbin and Murkowski were serious - I mean this is the guy representing Illinois which has the privilege of being no. 2 target by DHS - he would go to bat to the media and rally colleagues to put the legislation on the floor. What all that is happening shows is that no one wants people who have lived on their street for years and just work and live a peaceful productive life to be abducted and expelled out of the country.

So we should feel "angry" when the President literally says that we should feel safe?

So strange.

Doesn’t surprise me an imbecile like you believes everything he says. You forget Stephen Miller is the one in charge.

I think you should save the two braincells you have left and delete your account.
