What's there to research? LOL. The guy is a MAGA loyalist and is from freaking OKLAHOMA. LOL.

Anyone appointed by Diaper Don is not going to be a friend of Dreamers. We are all collateral damage to them Project 2025'ers.

Markwayne Mullin, a Republican U.S. Senator from Oklahoma nominated to lead the Department of Homeland Security in March 2026, has historically opposed the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and similar immigration policies, viewing them as amnesty.

His position on DACA and related immigration issues includes the following:
Opposition to Amnesty: Mullin has labeled DACA an "unconstitutional" program that provides amnesty to illegal immigrants, arguing that such policies encourage further illegal immigration.
Legislative Actions: He has voted against measures designed to protect or expand rights for "Dreamers" (DACA recipients), including voting for amendments to ban DACA recipients from military service.

Focus on Border Security: Mullin emphasizes securing the southern border, enforcing existing immigration laws, and increasing interior enforcement by ICE.
Support for Deportations: As a senator and in his role as a potential DHS Secretary, he has supported the enforcement actions of ICE, arguing that agents are "red-blooded American patriots doing a tough job to keep our nation safe".

Past Nuance on Negotiation: In 2019, while serving in the House, Mullin expressed support for a proposal that would have extended temporary DACA protections as part of a broader negotiation to reopen the government and address border security.

As of March 2026, with his nomination to lead DHS, Mullin continues to align with a hardline stance on immigration enforcement, prioritizing the removal of those in the country without legal permission.
It seems that he is not die hard anti-daca since he was willing to trade extending daca protections for border security in the past. We should not expect any gifts from him.
