Hey everyone, I haven't been around for some months, but I've been following along as well. *sighs* You guys, I'm tired. I haven't been giving up as well, I call just like you all, but honestly? I'm out. Let's face it, they DON'T get it. Stupid republicans are so full of it, and the truth just fails to enter through their fascist and racist ears. It's useless. I watch them, and every time they talk it's like they're on automatic, they just talk and talk, round and round, about the same darn stuff, and fail to acknowledge anything at all. I don't want to bring you all down, not my point, not like I could anyways. I just wanted to get this off from my shoulders: Let's face it, this is not the country we came to. Not for me and my parents anyways. Everything changed, and the very ugly side of this place came out. We'd be better off in a 3rd World Country, if you ask me. The way I came to think of it, "They don't want me? They don't deserve me!" And someday I'll be sitting back, enjoying my beautiful life, and pointing and laughing at the news or something, saying how much of a bad shape this place is in. When the immigration reform didn't pass at the beginning of this past summer, I cried, as probably did many, and now I'm saying no more. Still hopeful? Yes. But in case nothing happens this week, at least I won't be sad, as I've applied to another school in another country, and formed an alternative path for myself. You guys, sitting here, time flying past you, how can you do this to yourself, I wonder? Some of you have been waiting, and calling, for years. I called as well, but what's that going to do? Revolutions and Great political changes and movements, have never been resolved by sending letters, or phone calls. That's all I'm saying.

So, with that, I say, good luck to us all.

Take care.

Oh my God, this is just what I wanted to say all along. I just couldn't find the words to say it, no matter how many times we called, I just felt it was hopeless, our future was in their hands and they were just going to do what they wanted anyways, they don't care.

That's true...THIS IS NOT AMERICA!!! like MR. Durbin said. America used to welcome people, they have turned around. Sadly but true, that's why more and more people are starting to hate even more this country.

My eyes are looking into Spain now...

Hey... one thing we do have control over, is how we react... we're all free to do what we want...

Three Dallas students who traveled to Washington on Wednesday had high hopes for the bill's passage. All of them entered the U.S. before they were 11, brought by Mexican parents seeking work, they said.

It was their first trip to Washington and they were dressed for important meetings with senators. A meeting with Ms. Hutchison's staff lasted about a half-hour. But Mr. Cornyn would not allow them into his office because they were not legal residents, he said.

Smarting from that rejection, one of the students, an 18-year-old woman, said she would have told Mr. Cornyn: "Put yourself in our shoes. Try to imagine your life as an immigrant."
Mr. Cornyn said his staff met with Larry James and Silvia Bustos, immigration activists from Dallas who accompanied the students. But his staff would not meet with people "who admit to not being legally in the country or are here in violation of immigration laws – basically flaunting that," Mr. Cornyn said.
Though the three students said they were seeking legal avenues to citizenship, they nevertheless live under the threat of deportation, said Mr. James, a Dallas pastor and president of Central Dallas Ministries.

"It's like a wall you can't look past," said one student, a 19-year-old at Mountain View College who asked that his name not be used. "You don't know what's going to happen with your life."

I hope he gets crushed in his re election bid in 2008. Hutchinson is very compassionate towards us though.

Hey I am not going to Spain, im staying here to piss America off. Even though I can't say I have legal status here, hey, im in college, I got some scholarships, I have a job, I have my family & friends, and most importantly, I am not alone, so I can't complain. It is not my fault I am this way. I was happy way before DREAM and I will stay happy, something will happen eventually.
