I think it would be great to do some sort of multimedia presentation about the beneficiaries of the DREAM Act...YOU. I think show dreamies as real young people. Culturally American, non-accented English, smart, going to school, being with friends. I think showing you guys (and gals) as normal, young, "American" kids. Because I know that most people lump all the immigration political stuff together. They think DREAM Act is for the guys at Home Depot. Right or wrong, it's their perception. Something of a documentary that could showcase some of you in different states. It could be shown to civic groups, on TV, etc. To anyone that will listen.
Because people don't know you. They've met you, but they don't know they've met you. That's what got me! I had opinions that I was convinced were right until I met dreamies. When I realized who they were, I also realized that my thinking about all of immigration was not correct.
I know you are afraid of being in a public presentation but I really think it's something that needs to happen, somehow.
There are so many things I would like to try but I'm not a savy political guy. But I do understand this issue and for whatever reason do feel passionate about it.
Don't give up. Keep you eye on the ball.

What makes all of you dismiss that it could come back up in 2008? Just because election season will be kicking up doesnt mean that we couldnt pass a more compromised version of the dream act.

It's a possibility if we could get so much attention. i i doubt it that the media will show possitive things about Dream. Bunch of lies from the Media..

We've emailed Oprah before and sent her our stories... so far no one received a reply. But, I guess it doesn't hurt to keep sending emails... maybe one of these days they'll actually be intriguied by our stories and want to make it known to the public.
