Do you guys know anything about NY driver license?

I wasn't looking into it lately. Maybe some of you know.

The original plan to give everyones licenses has been replaced by a plan to implement REAL ID for everyone and clearly labeling people as illegal. This plan has gotten as much opposition as the original (the same people that don't like illegals also don't like REAL ID) so the most recent news was that Spitzer was undecided on any course of action. Most likely either nothing will happen or it will be bad for us.

I feel things are headed for the better. Spitzer is still determined to passing the resolution, though all the opposition, like J6 says, is hammering him down. He is thinking about adopting a new stragedy to gain support. If the support is weak, then he may consider to drop the plan. Regardless, I'm hoping this blows up into a national debate forcing Congress to take a stand and stop being so damn indecisive. And I highly doubt any CIR that passes is not going to be in favor our situation. It's just a matter of time.

That's the whole idea behind REAL ID - to allow everyone from the lowly Department of Motor Vehicles secretary to every person at the Department of Agriculture to have access to every single piece of info about every person in the US with one click of a mouse.

maybe he should just drop it. I don't know if I would get one... it's like hey I 'm here and I'm illigal.
A lot od people that I know say the some thing. I can't say that I condemn the for the Real Id. They are doing it to make people feel safer.
