(who ever has a job here) get a job?

i find it difficult to find one! i mean speaking up isn't as easy as it sounds. What i was thinking was working in a small mini market lol
i used to work once in a while by helping this one guy out with his moving company.i seriously made bank. lol but business has decreased tremendously and i don't know where else to go.

any suggestions?

i was gona ask the same question xD...do you guys admit you are undocumented when you apply for a job? or do you give a fake social? And what are some things that are good to know...i gotta admit i am nervous about the situation...it's embarasing, so far i've worked small family jobs, my dad started his new business and my aunt has a preety big business going on now and i worked for her for some times, but she's the worst person to work for xP...she took advantage of the fact that i was family and paid me an insulting amount of money for the countless hours i worked. I'll be the first to admit that my aunt is a snake xP...which is one way to make for a succesful business person. So i need a job but yeah...help I don't want to depend on family for work.

you have better luck if you ask jobs from small private businesses. i work at asian restaurants and cafes owned by asian people, and they know what it's like to be an immigrant so they hire me and pay cash. ask around with your relatives or friends of your relatives.

you wont have any luck on anything like walmart or safeway

I just told the guy (owner) that I couldn't give him my social because I had a scholarship and financial aid that could be taken away if I was working my social. Maybe the fact that he's friends with my dad helped but it's a good excuse to use, it's safer than to say you're undocumented I think.

BTW it's a small, family-owned business.

Haha that's just precious. Nobody has any idea how bad things would get if they deported us all.

I got my job when I had papers, in finance, I've described it at length in other places.

^ I would highly advise you guys to not piss off your bosses...that doesn't mean kiss ass either. Jobs are hard to come by these days.

hell, the state is the biggest employer of immigrants who aren't authorized to work.

right you are jourbalist..
i.e. here in Nevada you can get a health card, with either a birth certificate and a bankcard/ passport with an I-94. its real easy, and as far as Nevada goes thats all you need to work at family/independent owned restaurants such the asian/mexican ones.
