No exceptions, sorry. Unless you get it waived, you're locked out.

Your prior illegal status will continue to affect you. Heck, even the status of your relatives can sometimes affect you (though not always). My father in law should have gotten a visitors visa easily since the only time he was ever in the states was legally with the braceros program and was never illegally here, but was denied and told it was because he has kids here illegally. You'll have the most trouble getting a temp visa, but with any type you'll see problems. I wouldn't risk it.

As for removing the ten year ban, the entire point of the dream act is so that dreamers can stay here. If you made them all 'get back in line', then most would be waiting 15 years to get back in, IF they could get back in at all. While some of us might be okay with this personally, we have to think of what is beneficial for everyone.

oh i see, hehe you know some of you guys know immigration law well enough to be lawyers xP...But how about sort of as a quick fix this 10 year ban gone for dreamies. As an option before going through the dream act again or some other future law, for those that really just can't wait...the people basically got their bachelors and masters but are still working minimum wage jobs, or not the jobs up to their full potential...give them that option of leaving and coming back and maybe honors in line? front of line pass xP. And well for those that ofcourse doesn't benefit for, the ones still in school and can afford to wait...wait here for a final resolution to the dream act...yes? no? what? I'm kinda desperate as you can see xD

I'd love to just get rid of the ten year ban personally, because then we could just file our waiver, but I really don't see how it would help many except for the ones who aren't married. Anyway, what's the difference between being granted a front of line pass in your home country and getting your status fixed here? Only more paperwork and maybe a week.

I'm sorry you're on a time limit, and I get you. Have you considered moving to where your gf lives?

oh yeah ofcourse, but the problem is my family ...that 10 year ban man is a killer, not being able to see my family for 10 years...they are the most important people i've had here...very close. And if my illegal status here affects my life forever, then imagine leaving without getting that settled here...And although i know some german, i don't know enough to survive xP. And i know how the system works here...germany, not so much. There are just too many sharp ends it seems...But come 5 years if nothing happens, i just can't stay here. My future depends on it.

oh sorry, didn't answer your question. To me man, it's personally just more at least of being legal...even if it is just a week difference, at least i'll be legal in my own home country while i wait to get here legally again you know? Don't get me wrong though, where i live here now, and the opportunities this country has...it's almost worth being illegal here then legal in my own country xP...Once i get my bachelors here though, that would give me a great advantage in my home country, but ahh. It's just so messy you know what i mean? But i'm just an action sort of person...like want something done? get off your chair and do it =P, cross mountains, swim rivers(no pun intended)...but do it and do it right!

I agree with you. Being illegal here is better than being legal in my home country. After the four year degree, I'll be better off than my fellow countrymen and women. But really, I want to live and work in the US. Going back to my home country is going to give me a heart attack because I really don't want to go back.

^ Seriously? A bachelors from here is worth jack shit in my birth country, especially a B.A.. An American B.S. is only considered slight less inferior than one obtained in my birth country.
I know for a fact this is true in a lot of places.

Even a masters from here is regarded as only as slightly better than one from my birth country. A PhD from here is worth a lot.

yeahhh american education is laughed at by many countries but then again people can't argue with the results education has brought in this country...yeah wealth has a lot to do with it but no idiot can create the internet, and be the first to land on the moon...you gotta respect the minds that have created such technological advances in this country...you gota be really ignorant to underestimate the power of education in this country. And besides knowing english as well as we do aka the language of business has to be worth something in any native country you come from.

But well, back to my original topic, does anybody have any other possibilities pertaining to a better life whether that be outside the U.S...being able to rub this "illegal" stamp from your hand? you know basically not affecting your future significantly? whether it be in 10 years or more...And hmm another question...isnt anybody else here in a time constraint either? i mean...am i really the oldest one here xP...i'm 20 years old...how i see it once 25...if i don't have some sort of legal status i'll nothing more then an educated illegal working for minimum wage. I couldnt understand anybody wanting to stay for that to come unless they have a shot at legal status, whether is find a legal partner to marry or yeah.
