I understand why they are against most other things but why the guest worker program? I mean It wouldn't hurt the economy or take away jobs, seriously if you think about it there's no good reason to be against it am I right?

Eh, most of those people are followers in a herd. They hate things because the leaders of their heard hate them. There are also some who are simply xenophobic.. or as I like to call it, "mexophobic" (mexophobic: the fear and hatred of Mexicans and anyone who looks Mexican). When they hear "guest worker program," they actually hear "let's brings some more Mexicans into the country and call it a guest worker program to fool those darn alicrapers," or something along those lines.

They're just against everything. Don't be fooled by their "we support legal immigration" bullshit. They're against letting ANYONE, from ANYWHERE, and ANYHOW into the US.

They don't care about economics or politics or anything of that sort.

Yeah, it doesn't matter to them. They're opposed to any solution or any immigration, for that matter. Most of them advocate isolationist, "put up walls", "don't let anyone in" policies.

Its America for me bullshit.

They are against it because it will force them to pay people a fair wage and treat them with respect. Right now they can get their daughter's horses cared for (Lou Dobbs), their mansion landscaped (romney), houses cleaned, children cared for etc. etc., for next to nothing. They don't want to give that up!
