Hi im new to the forums. I wanted to ask about a section of the dream act, were it said something about committing a crime will disqualify you from it. Does any one know what level of crime will disqualify you. Im wondering this because i have a MIP =\ and it would suck if i would be disqualify because of it

What does MIP stand for?

If you commit the crime before turning 16, then you'll possibly be forgiven for it. When the DREAM Act passes, you can have a lawyer handle your case.

However, the whole point of the DREAM Act is to give legal status to talented children that demonstrate good moral character. The definition is very vague so the best recourse is to have an impeccable police record.

Don't do anything else and hopefully you'll be fine. MIP is not that serious but more than one, it would be hard to argue that you learned you lesson the first time. In the future, stay out of trouble, and you should be fine.
