To All Dreamies & Supporters!

Hello everyone! I’ve never been a good blogger; however, I am continuosly doing my part by calling,emailing, faxing, etc...

I know this is supposed to go in the Taking Action forum (but there’s rarely anybody there).
What can we TRULY do to expand the word to support & promote, the Dream Deferred Campaign?
I think that We have to act together and call radio stations, tv shows, etc…
I guess what I’m saying is that all the Dreamies nation wide have to come together to make this bigger than Big!
The ultimate goal should be to see & hear Obama, McCain, & Clinton making the commitment(enact the DREAM Act in their first 100 days) in office.

I agree with the belief that the best outcomes will come when all the Dreamers across the nation do come together. I think Dreamers need to be humanized more. Illegal immigrants is such an impersonal word to use for us.

Already many here are taking stories from members in order to try to humanize us. We just need to get a better medium to distribute this to a larger demographic of people. TV would be the best place to do this. Like a few threads already have mentioned Oprah and the likes would do a lot to give us Dreamers an opportunity to humanize ourselves.

In politics, numbers is the only thing that matters and we need to make our numbers bigger. There are an estimated million of us out there. If only 5 percent of us make our voices heard that would be enough to really influence Congress.

The how and actually doing part.. meh I dont know. School shootings are always media attractors. Maybe one of us should do one and at the same time preach about the Dream Act. I'M KIDDING! No one actually do this... or anything like that.... Violence BAAAAD. <_< >_> Alrighty foot in mouth time.

Dreamies, we need to stop waiting for somebody else to do something. Lets do something now! Lets form a real network to support the campaign. Look at all the deportations that are taking place Now, we can be next...

I do have an idea. I think we should get in contact with people most viewed on youtube and write them a letter on why they should support it and promote it on youtube. I think we should also make like a master piece video that lasts more then a couple of minutes. lol It might sound crazy but I was also thinking of trying to reach out to big hispanic influences here in America, How I don't know but there has got top be a way!!!

That's a good idea! We just have to reach more media and of course, the candidates. ... I just wish we had more support on this.
Do you know of any groups or organizations working hard on this?
