I do not think so, you would need the number.

How about this? I'm 17 and a half, just under 18. This means that I don't need to provide proof of signature and proof of residency for a MA permit. The official requirement on the form says that I will need to provide proof of date of birth and social security number, does this mean I can just use a print out or will I still have to use the physical card itself? If anyone went through the same thing please reply, thanks.

When I go apply for a social security number, do I a make an appointment or do I walk in? Also, since my birth certificate is in Spanish, do we need it translated? Lastly, since I have two last names do I put both of my two last names on the same area where last name is written to be show on card?

You would just walk-in, the application process takes no more that 5 mins, so all that remains is the waiting. If your SSA is mostly busy, I would recommend going a little early. And yes, you will need to translate your birth certificate. If you have a non-expired passport, use that instead of waiting for your BC gets translated.

Sorry but I'm almost 100% sure that you will need something stronger than a college ID. The point is to prove your identity and such so I can't be sure. I guess I would try calling them and asking.

When I walked in I just handed him my EAD card, my DACA approval letter and my mexican birth certificate, I didn't need to have it translated. I had a current passport with me but they didn't ask for it. He also filled out the application on the computer just verified some info as he was typing it in. If you are not sure I would suggest calling the office before you get there and wait to then be sent back home for more things.

Yeah, I called today and they told me that I can bring my certificate and they already have translators to translate the Certificate. I also told them that my college ID is my only form of identification, and they said that I could also bring in my college ID.

Cool. Yeah just bring whatever you can think of that can help, because while I was there they kept sending people away because they would ask for things and people forgot them at home.
