Lmfao I'm getting a car as well not only because of insurance but because of gas! Ugh....I love pickups but gas can get expensive and I'll be driving to school...and it's really far.

Oh not only that I will probably pay most of my school expenses since even though we Texans get aid we don't get much.

I am going for a corolla. My bro purchased a new camry this year. He was able to get good financing. The corolla is cheaper, so I hope to pay less per month than he is paying. I'm in no hurry though. I want to save to put some money down and pay for the insurance for the whole year. So, I am not paying every six months. I want AAA full coverage.

Other car brands in mind: Subaru, Honda, the fusion from Ford, or Mazda 3.

As family cars we have had a double cab chevy silverado and large nissan truck. The gas on them was crazy. My bro sold it and purchased a Mazda.

$300 bucks a month just on gas.

It's just money dude, if you grew up here and are actually struggling for money....I don't know what to tell you.

Although since all of us are considered new drivers, insurance on our toys will be high, ill just tell me dad to insure my shit for a year, it should only take 1 year to pay off a car while living on my own.
